Your new role The main function of the Purchase Ledger Clerk is to support the Finance team, with a range of purchasing, finance and accountancy related activity. The role will liaise across a range of departments both internal and external, and largely undertake the processing of invoices and reconciliation work.
  • Process purchase ledger invoices in a timely and efficient way.
  • Maintenance and upkeep of the purchase ledger master file, investigating and resolving anomalies or elevating to senior staff where appropriate.
  • Ensure that all invoices are approved prior to processing, raising anomalies to a manger where necessary.
  • Update and maintain a number of finance spreadsheets, such as the cash forecast spreadsheet, on a regular basis to support the finance team and ensure that records are accurate.
What you’ll need to succeed
  • Any accountancy qualification e.g. AAT level 2 or above
  • GCSE English and Maths, Grade C or above
  • Previous experience within a similar role.
