Who are we?

Based in Canterbury, b&m have been delivering construction consultancy services across the South East for over 35 years. What are we looking for?

We are looking for aProject Quantity Surveyor. The candidate would be responsible for managing contracts anywhere from £500k to £40m+.

The ideal candidate will likely be educated to degree/masters level, have 2+ years experience and either already be Chartered or be working towards their status via the APC process. The candidate could currently be an Assistant Project Surveyor looking for their next step up the ladder or currently acting as a Project Surveyor. Either way, you’ll have experience in delivering across the entire lifecycle and understand the need to drive a project forward with an excellent ability to solve problems and manage multiple stakeholders.

What key attributes are we looking for?

  • A Project Quantity Surveying background, including ideally a degree from a built environment subject
  • 2 years+ experience at a consultancy, or similar
  • MRICS accredited or en route to becoming chartered
  • Able to manage multiple schemes at once
  • Experienced in managing a project through its entire lifecycle.
  • Professional client facing manner with excellent communication and written skills
  • An excellent team player who can mentor and help others
  • Experience acting as Project Manager / Employer’s Agent / Contract Administrator would be an advantage, but not essential
