THIS IS AN EXCITING TIME TO BE JOINING THE ROYAL EXCHANGE THEATRE, AS WE REOPEN OUR BUILDING AND WELCOME BACK VISITORS. THIS NEW ROLE IS A BRILLIANT OPPORTUNITY FOR SOMEONE TO MAKE A SIGNIFICANT AND POSITIVE CHANGE WITHIN ONE OF MANCHESTER’S MOST RENOWNED CULTURAL ORGANISATIONS.

We emerge from Covid-19 as a new organisation with communities at our heart. We’ll engage with all communities, learning what it means to be a theatre in the post pandemic world and bring new relevance to audiences and participants. The People & Culture Lead will play a vital role in creating an inclusive, dynamic culture across our organisation, ensuring that our workforce reflects the communities of Greater Manchester and that our practices enable the organisation to thrive.

JOB OVERVIEW

This is a new role for the Royal Exchange Theatre, joining the organisation following a period of significant change and challenge. Much of this role will be focused on evolving the organisation’s culture and developing new ways of working that enable us to achieve our business aims.

The People & Culture Lead will work closely with the Executive, as well as the Leadership Team and HR Lead to transform working practices that move us towards a strong, healthy and inclusive culture.

KEY INFORMATION

ROLE: People & Culture Lead

SALARY: £30,000 per annum

HOURS: 28 hours per week

CONTRACT: Fixed term – 18 months

RESPONSIBLE TO: Executive Director/ joint Chief Executive
