Are you a team player and have good communications skills? Do you have advanced or intermediate Microsoft Word and Excel skills? Do you have experience in rostering and timetabling? If so, joining KeolisAmey Metrolink (KAM) as an Operations Planner may be for you.

As an Operations Planner at KAM, you be responsible for the production of timetables and rosters for all operational staff based on Goal System incorporating the rules and regulations, safety and operational procedures and any agreed and negotiated parameters.

Key accountabilities

As an Operations Planner at KAM, your key accountabilities will be:

  • Set up Goal System and in consultation with the Head of Department design and produce timetables which meet the parameters and guidelines and taking full account of the requirements making the necessary adjustments to reflect the changing needs of the business.

  • Design and produce rosters for Operations staff and any other staff as may be required.

  • Arrange for adequate operational resources for any needs, training or projects to facilitate new line openings.

  • Take part in both internal and external meetings as required.

  • Answering internal / external telephone calls.

  • The production of accurate and concise reports.

  • Produce rostering in accordance with timetable requirements.

  • Manage and provide all fortnightly, bimonthly, and yearly rosters for the Operational staff.

  • Any other duties as required by the role.

About you

To join KAM as an Operations Planner, you should have:

Essential skills

The ideal candidate should be a team player and have good communications skills.

You must have a good standard of grammar and be able to work in a pressurised environment with good listening and interpretation skills.

Essential experience / qualifications

The Operations Planner must be computer literate and have advanced or intermediate Microsoft Word and Excel skills.

You would ideally have some experience in rostering and timetabling.
