The Role


Our Client is looking for an Operations Trainer to provide comprehensive and consistent business process training and technical support to the branch and central operations teams, in order to support and develop the performance and competency of the administrators to a high standard. To provide support to the teams to ensure that they provide an efficient, effective and timely administration service to the advisers and their clients, adhering to FCA regulations and internal policy and procedure.


The Operations Trainer will work together closely, alongside the Operational Improvement Manager and Regional Operations Managers to support the training and development of the operations teams.

The Operations Trainer will primarily be responsible for the delivery of business process training and technical support within their specific region, however, it may also be necessary for the role holder to deliver training and support outside of their region, to meet the needs of the business.

Requirements


A minimum of 4 years’ experience in an administration role within the financial services industry, ideally within an IFA
Experience of training on a one to one basis and in a group environment
Certificate in Financial Planning or an equivalent Financial Services qualification
A good knowledge and understanding of a wide range of financial products
Excellent knowledge of internal company processes and procedures
Good knowledge of regulatory requirements
Good knowledge of Intelligent Office and Virtual Cabinet
Experience of working within defined service standards, policies and procedures
A proven track record in delivering excellent client satisfaction
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Excellent accuracy skills and attention to detail
Ability to build and develop effective working relationships at all levels
Excellent administrative, planning and organisational skills
A team player with an adaptable and flexible approach to work to suit business needs and changing priorities


Benefits

Diploma in Financial Planning (or equivalent)
Desirable:

Advanced Diploma in Financial Planning (or equivalent)
Specialist qualifications which relate to Financial Planning
Supervision in a Regulated Environment (J07) or equivalent

Experience

Essential:

Experience of working in a regulated Financial Services environment.
Experience of coaching individuals and providing feedback;
Experience of providing skills-based coaching;
A proven track-record of achieving sales targets
Desirable:

Experience of working in an Independent Financial Services environment;
Experience in the identification of training needs;
Experience in the design and implementation of training programmes and supporting documentation;
Experience in the delivery of training to regulated individuals and non-advisory staff;
Experience in the construction of financial planning advice, either in an advisory, paraplanning or research capacity;
Experience of face-to-face client relationships;
Experience in the construction of client-facing Suitability Reports.

Desirable:

Understanding of the corporate advice market and associated advice areas, including Auto Enrolment, workplace pensions, employee benefits and business protection
Good understanding of the T&C regime within a principles-based regulation model and focus on the appropriate customer outcomes
