As our Manchester Sorting Centre Manager, you will play an integral part in ensuring excellent customer service is delivered to each and every one of our customers while setting and maintaining standards from operational policies, transport legislation, health & safety and people management.

You will;

- Ensure that our depot remains legal and compliant through transport legislation and operational requirements

- Maintain efficiency through people management and setting performance expectations

- Effectively delegate and supervise daily tasks, maintain accountability for any issues or escalations

- Produce, update and submit regular reports to the District / Regional Management team & Head Office

You will have excellent logistics knowledge including transport legislation

- Demonstrate an understanding of the sorting centre

- Experience in leading and motivating your team

- Knowledge or understanding of HR issues and managing performance

- Experience of working to tight deadlines and meeting targets

- Experience of working to KPI’s and budget

- Understanding of working in an environment with daily changing workloads

TECHNICAL

- Able to produce management reports

- PC literate including warehouse software and Microsoft Packages

Language skills: fluent in both Chinese and English

Job Types: Contract, Permanent

Salary: £40,000.00-£43,000.00 per year

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday
  • Weekends

Experience:

  • Warehouse Management: 1 year (preferred)
