  • Willerby Grove, Peterlee – General FE including a successful A Level Provision

  • Houghall Campus, Durham City – Land Based and Specialist SEND Provision

  • Technical Academy, Peterlee – Offering a specialist construction and engineering-based working environment.


We have an exciting opportunity for a well organised and self-motivated Lecturer in Art & Design based at our Willerby Grove Campus (with an expectation that you will be able to work across all 3 sites) on a permanent, full-time basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for Level 2 & 3 vocational visual arts programmes and be able to work flexibly and efficiently to maintain the highest professional standards in the delivery of allocated teaching programmes, including the associated organisational, coordination and administrative responsibility.

The main duties of the role will include delivering Art and Design qualifications, the devising of assignment/project briefs to ensure a vibrant and creative curriculum. Assess learner work in line with exam board requirements and guidelines and to safeguard and promote the welfare of children and vulnerable adults.

Depending on the successful candidate, there could also be an opportunity to combine this role with the part-time role currently advertised for a Lecturer in Art (ED6).
