Hyphen, a boutique live events & experiential agency are looking for enthusiastic, engaging, and fun people to join our large team of brand ambassadors. You will be promoting Vodafone brands and products to potential new customers at events, on high streets and spaces in-between. You will take ownership of the end of shift reports, as well as ensuring that the team are working towards their daily targets. We provide full training and ongoing support. We are looking for people who are naturally friendly, personable, high-energy, and professional. You enjoy and have experience of leading a small team in a similar environment and have a can-do attitude with oodles of passion for brands. Up to £140 per day, plus mileage. Flexible hours (up to 33) across the week between 08:00 – 20:00. Starting 28 July – 31 December 2021. This is not just a job, it’s our passion!

Vodafone launched Gigafast, their 900mps broadband service back in 2018 and this year, their coverage has expanded to new areas and we need you to help us spread the message.

As our Lead Brand Ambassador, you’ll be responsible for engaging with members of the public, to educate and inspire them about Vodafone’s broadband, gathering data for follow up sales. Based in a busy central location or at an event, you need to be happy to set up a promotional vehicle or a marquee, and proactively approach customers. Being comfortable working in public venues or at events, being on your feet with a fair amount of walking and working outdoors in all weathers is essential. You’ll be expected to think proactively during quiet days and/or quieter locations to find members of the public to talk to You may be expected to travel up to 90 minutes from your home address. Leading from the front to support set up and meet daily targets.

We will provide you with all the uniform, equipment, training, and ongoing support that you need to be able to deliver your target, support your team and be successful in the role.

As a Successful Lead Brand Ambassador, You Will Be
  • Proactive in delivering the Vodafone brand message and product information in an engaging and immersive way
  • Understanding of client needs and tailor your approach to answer their needs.
  • Confident in answering questions about the product, showcasing the brand image to gain customer buy in
  • Self-motivated and thrive in being part of a team working to achieve a daily target, capturing data accurately with GDPR guidelines and ensuring your team do the same.
  • Liaising with the Vodafone Regional Managers and store staff where needed, maintaining professional standards.
  • Comfortable with the physical elements of set up and set down of the activation space which may include small marquees, flags, banners, taking responsibility for kit
  • Happy to drive and be responsible for setting up and storing of the Vodafone branded vans
  • Quick thinking and communicate any issues to the campaign lead in a timely manner to ensure quick resolution
You will be a great Lead Brand Ambassador if you have:
  • Experience in leading teams at events, in promotional campaigns or on other similar types of activations, confident achieving target-based activations
  • Excellent communication skills with proven experience of reaching campaign KPI’s
  • Full valid UK driving license
  • Experience of working with mobile phone brands/technology would be advantageous
  • Additional language skills (not essential but handy to have)
Details
  • Start 28 July (paid briefing) working until 31 December
  • £17.50 per hour (£140 per day for an 8-hour day) + mileage
  • Flexible shift patterns, you will ideally commit to a minimum of 24 hours per week between the hours of 8:00 and 20:00. Usually 8 hours long (inc. paid breaks), approximately 32 to 40 hours per week and take place between Monday to Sunday (shifts can vary in time and duration)
  • You will need to be near the area in which we are recruiting or be able to drive to the location. You could be asked to travel up to 90 minutes from your home address to an activation location.
  • Opportunities to travel further afield and stay overnight in new areas – travel time and overnight accommodation will be paid with prior agreement
