We are seeking a persuasive and organised Business Development Manager to continue driving international student recruitment and sales for Study Abroad, Pre-sessional and UAL Short Courses within Academic Enterprise International (AEI).

You will take charge of agent appointments and support institutional agreements, measuring your success through student numbers and the creation of long-term partnerships, that are beneficial to UAL.

You will lead process improvements for sales and marketing, create market plans for designated regions and contribute to wider product and sales strategies.

You will travel overseas for several weeks per year to promote AEI courses as a critical pipeline to further study and to meet UAL’s strategic aims to bring creative education to more people than ever before.

Travel will be up to 12 weeks per year.

Why choose us?

For the fourth year running, University of the Arts London is the world’s second University for Art and Design in the QS World University Rankings 2022.

We offer highly creative working environments that inspire staff across all areas to fulfil their potential and continuous training to further develop their skills and expertise. We also offer hybrid and flexible working practices, and excellent staff benefits to improve your work life balance including family friendly, inclusive employment policies, flexible working arrangements and Staff Support Networks.

Your profile

You may come from a student recruitment, international partnerships or commercial educational sales background, the main thing is that you are motivated by building sustainable business relationships.

You will need to show an understanding of compliance for international recruitment agents and experience of implementing robust administrative processes. Experience of using relevant networks to gather market intelligence to identify leads and an interest in the challenges and opportunities for international education would be an advantage for you in this role.

You should be able to demonstrate an understanding of the needs and motivations of Pre-sessional and Study Abroad students, as well as a commitment to Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion in international education.

Closing date:Monday 30th January 2023.
