Your Community
You will be a member of the Public Policy, Law Enforcement Response Team, within the Safety & Integrity domain. You will be working closely with your lead, the Head of Law Enforcement and Government Response.
Your Purpose
Your role as Intern will focus on the privacy, regulatory and public policy front, as well as on non-governmental organisations and academic entities addressing privacy and cross-border data matters.

- To improve your breadth and depth of understanding of Safety & Integrity as it applies to society
- To help gain experience of working with a wide variety of stakeholders to deliver results
Your Focus
Your contribution will include:
- Compile trends in the privacy, regulatory and public policy front
- Track DSA, Privacy Shield, E-evidence, Cybercrime Convention, etc
- Learn from and analyse NGO positions in this space – such as Article 19, Access Now, Internet & Jurisdiction, Center for Democracy & Technology and Electronic Frontier Foundation
- Research trends concerning nefarious exploitation of technology to facilitate, by example, human trafficking; scams, criminal activity around cryptocurrencies, tokens / points, and extremism.
Your Journey
Ideally you will have experience in or exposure to the following:
- Background in political science, public policy and technology, international studies, economics, or law; either from studies or work experience.
- Avid social media user
- Follows and has opinions on trending socio-political topics
- Interest in online safety
- Great communication and writing skills
- Critical thinking strength
- Strong attention to detail
- Self-driven
- Able to work well cross functionally and build collaborative relationships
