Salary: Starting from £54,000 plus benefits
Employment type: The role will initially be offered on a 12 month fixed-term contract basis, but will likely become permanent once project achieves final investment decision (FID)

The Opportunity


Our exciting Sizewell C (SZC) project – a proposed new nuclear power station to be built on the Suffolk coast - would provide dependable electricity to 6 million homes for 60 years which, along with renewables, will support Britain’s Net Zero aim by 2050.


As IMS Manager, you’ll be responsible for the development, implementation, management, maintenance, governance and continuous improvement of the IMS, necessary for the delivery of the Sizewell C (SZC) project.

The Role


You’ll be working closely with our Hinkley Point C (HPC) project in order to manage the initial intelligent replication of the HPC IMS into SZC and then developing End-to-End processes, managing changes, updates and continuously improving the SZC IMS on an ongoing basis.


Specifically, you’ll be accountable for:


  • Ensuring the IMS meets the requirements of regulatory Licence Conditions and the necessary international standards
  • Managing the delivery of the IMS implementation project to the project milestones and escalating, rectifying/resolving any issues identified
  • Maintaining the IT environment and business/process architecture
  • Developing the End-to-End processes with Process Owners and Subject Matter Experts
  • Developing, implementing and managing the processes that provide oversight and governance of the IMS
  • Coordinating the internal IMS audits and self-assessments along with the resolution and management of audit findings
  • Building and maintaining a close working relationship with the HPC project ensuring lessons learned are incorporated into the IMS for its continuous improvement
  • Publishing all IMS content including the development, updates, review and approval processes
  • Maintaining the business/process architecture, IMS environment and IMS content
  • Leading the team and any resources necessary to deliver, maintain and improve the IMS
  • Leading external and third-party audits from EDF SA, regulators, investors and certification bodies

The Skills


To be successful in this role you’ll be able to demonstrate:


  • Extensive experience in developing and maintaining Integrated Management Systems
  • Experience in the application of ISO management system standards, i.e. ISO 9001, ISO 19443, ISO 14001 and interrelated processes such as ISO 45001, GSR-2/3
  • Good stakeholder management skills and the ability to influence change in behaviours
  • Solid experience in leading audits
  • Experience with the management, governance and strategy of enterprise architecture content
  • Excellent presentation skills to both internal & external audiences
  • Team leadership skills


Desirable:


  • IRCA Certified Lead Auditor
  • Large-scale infrastructure project experience
  • Experience of working with regulators, with a preference to nuclear
