Package: Management and Specialist Grade 8 from £54,949 to £61,823 per annum (the payment of a Market Supplement may be considered). Subject to annual pay award.

Job description: Research and Innovation Office

Full-time, Open Ended

The purpose of this new role is to support the University’s strategic ambitions to generate significant growth in research and innovation activity through the provision of aligned support operational services encompassing pre- and post-award facilitation (including finance and contracts), advice on and management of governance and compliance requirements, performance metrics reporting, block funding management, and development of internal and external reporting capabilities.

The role will lead the Research & Innovation Operations Group within the Research and Innovation Office, a new combination of existing functional teams within the Office and ensure delivery of an effective and integrated service across the research development lifecycle to the academic community.

You will be a highly credible and experienced professional, well versed in the challenges and opportunities of operating in these areas and be pragmatic and forward thinking in your approach.

This is an exciting and interesting role for an individual seeking to make impact at the whole organisational level and enable delivery of a brand new University strategy under a new Vice Chancellor.
