Job Title: Head Chef or Senior Sous

We are seeking an experienced and creative Head Chef or Sous Chef to lead our kitchen team. As the Head Chef or Sous Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing the food preparation process, creating menus, and ensuring the quality and variety of the dishes served. You will be the first in command in the kitchen and will be responsible for creating and inspecting dishes before they are served to customers, ensuring high quality and customer satisfaction.Responsibilities:

  • Control and direct the food preparation process and any other relative activities
  • Construct menus with new or existing culinary creations ensuring the variety and quality of the servings
  • Approve and “polish” dishes before they reach the customer
  • Manage and train kitchen staff, establish working schedules, and assess staff’s performance
  • Order supplies to stock inventory appropriately
  • Comply with and enforce sanitation regulations and safety standards
  • Foster a climate of cooperation and respect between co-workers

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Head Chef or talented sous ready for the next level
  • Excellent record of kitchen management
  • Ability to spot and resolve problems efficiently
  • Capable of delegating multiple tasks
  • Communication and leadership skills
  • Keep up with cooking trends and best practices
  • Corporate and banqueting experience is desired

Pay rates are subject to position applied for and experience

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: £11.50-£15.00 per hour
