As a result of their expansion, an opportunity for a Qualified Accountant with experience of managing a small team within a large/ multi national organisation has emerged.

Looking after a small team of Management Accountants, and with an entrepreneurial, always for improvement and outgoing communication style and mindset, you will be a key member of the finance team as the organisation enters its next phase of growth and acquisitions.

Key Accountabilities Include
  • Management of accurate and timely month-end Group reporting, including preparation of Group Management Accounts
  • Management of individual entity financial statement and corporation tax filings across the Group
  • Management of the internal audit role to be performed by external party
  • Ensure general accounting is accurate and complies with Group accounting policies
  • Assist in onboarding and financial integration of acquisitions
  • Prepare and deliver specific analyses and support for internal and external audit requirements, liaising with the auditors and colleagues across the business as required
  • Review and analysis of monthly consolidated P&L and balance sheet
  • Assist the Group Financial Controller to deliver the monthly management and half yearly external listed reporting requirements
  • Continuous improvement of processes and controls
  • Ensure all intercompany eliminations on consolidation are managed monthly and any corrections at entity level are performed
  • Assist the Group Financial Controller in embedding any future acquisitions into all reporting requirements
  • Ensure all accounting systems have the correct financial controls in place, including compliance with IFRS
  • Assist in preparation of annual budget setting and forecasts
Essential Requirements
  • Qualified (ACCA/ ACA/ CIMA) Accountant
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Post qualification industry experience within a large/ international organisation (for familiarity with IFRS)
  • Management experience
  • Familiar with audit processes
Desirable requirement
  • Large practice audit experience preferred, but not essential
