Overview:
Element has an opportunity for a Group Reporting Accountant to join and strengthen a best in class finance function. This is a great opportunity to develop your career within a global business. This is a 9 month fixed term contract.

Responsibilities:
The role will work within the Group Reporting & Financial Control team and the role requires partnering with various key finance stakeholders cross-border, stakeholders would include: Group FP&A and finance systems, tax, shared service centre finance teams and local finance contacts worldwide. The role will also give direct access to the Group FP&A and Reporting Director with key elements of the role to include:
  • Assisting with the preparation of the year end glossy annual report in conjunction with Group Communications team
  • Supporting with the interpretation of IFRS standards together with the application of judgement to determine recommendations on accounting treatment and completing technical memos for internal and external purposes
  • Supporting the Head of Reporting & Financial Control with the year-end audit in providing information requested by the external auditors
  • Assisting with month end reporting, including the review and reporting of Group IFRS results
  • Offering proactive resolution of accounting queries from Shared Service Centres and local finance teams
  • Assisting with implementing financial controls and process improvements across the wider Group
Skills / Qualifications:
  • Recognised professional accounting qualification (e.g ACA, CPA, ACCA…) with post qualification experience preferred
  • Experience working within a professional accounting practice
  • Strong understanding of all IFRS technical accounting standards is required for this role (IFRS 16 and IFRS 9 advantageous)
  • Flexible and comfortable with a transformation setting
  • Self-starter with ability to work autonomously, on own initiative
  • Experience working in a multi-currency environment and a global business
  • Experience with Consolidation, Group reporting and exposure to Board reporting necessary
