Salary £20,222 per annum

37 hours per week, 52 weeks per year

We currently have a fantastic opportunity to join the college in the role of aGraphic Designerbased at the Queens Gardens Hull site.

Responsibilities of ourGraphic Designer:

  • Support the marketing strategy by designing and producing high quality and creative marketing materials, e.g. prospectus/brochures, posters, flyers, brochures, leaflets and the use of the latest digital technologies.
  • Contribute to the development of the Hull College brand and ensure consistent/or coherent application of the constituent brand components in all marketing activity.
  • Plan and coordinate advertising campaign schedules – including input in to the media channels used and evaluation of the campaign impact alongside the Marketing team.
  • Contribute to the development of new media design solutions including the college website to ensure that this remains innovative and impactful.
  • Liaise with colleagues across the college to ascertain design needs and work with them to establish comprehensive briefs, gather feedback and produce work that meets individual needs.
  • Manage the design job log and production timelines to ensure that materials are delivered on time including liaising with relevant external services (e.g. printing).

What we’re looking for in our Graphic Designer:

  • GCSE English & Maths Grade C or equivalent
  • Qualification in Graphic Design
  • Recent experience working as a Graphic Designer
  • Demonstrate experience (by portfolio) in the production of high quality design work
  • Ability to use Apple Mac hardware and relevant design/graphic applications
  • Interpersonal and networking skills
  • Able to work to deadlines and prioritise effectively workload
  • Ability to work flexibly, including evening and weekend work Please see attached job description and person specification for more information.
