Why apply for this role?

Financial crime often funds much darker criminal activities. As we transform our financial crime centre of excellence, we’ll utilise the SME knowledge of our analysts to deter, deter and disrupt financial crime activities. We’re now seeking an eagle-eyed expert to join us.

That’s where you come in. You’ll collaborate across various teams within financial crime – supporting the managing and control model to effectively manage anti-money laundering, sanctions, bribery & corruption and terrorist financing risk for customers and third parties. You’ll be part of an essential financial crime centre of excellence team.

What you’ll be doing

  • Reviewing corporate and commercial customer files in line with EDD requirements, AML and sanctions standards.
  • Conducting risk assessments and making a risk-based recommendation on the basis of an in-depth analysis .
  • Raising internal reports where appropriate and liaise with Line 2 functions ensure the customers are within the bank’s risk appetite.
  • Managing relationship with the front office colleagues to ensure adequate prioritisation of tasks.
  • Executing all enhanced due diligence activities related to client’s onboarding, ongoing due diligence, or off boarding, including presenting your findings at senior management for a.

What we’re looking for

  • Proven experience in Enhance Due Diligence with Financial Crime is essential.
  • Corporate or investment banking customer experience.
  • Experience in writing risk assessment reports, including risk mitigation and recommendation for adequate controls application.
  • Industry qualifications preferred.
  • Ability to work and deliver in line with established deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels.

Given the recent impact of the Coronavirus outbreak we will be conducting all interviews via telephone or video-conference where possible.

This is a 12-month FTC role which will initially be based remotely, however once restrictions have been lifted there may be requirements to come into the office.
