The role

This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast growing ecommerce startup, learning first hand how to manage and grow global direct to consumer brands, identify opportunities for growth and implement them. Reporting directly into our Head of Ecommerce, you will be responsible for developing and optimising our ecommerce platform. This is a role for someone looking to learn everything there is to know about ecommerce, someone eager to get ’stuck in’ and take on responsibility, and make an impact at Heroes.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with the wider DTC team to develop, optimise & maintain the DTC platform. This includes partnering with web developers to optimise our ecommerce platform (shopify), partnering with our design team to develop UI & UX improvements to boost conversion rate, supporting our performance marketing & data teams to drive profitable sales as well as analytics improvements, and day to day maintenance across our brand portfolio.
  • Analyse product, category & website level data (sales, conversation rate, page views, costs, etc) to assess performance at all levels and to propose solutions to improve performance and to troubleshoot issues.
  • Partner with our internal teams to develop a go-to-market strategy and facilitate successful, impactful brand & product launches as well as international expansion.
  • Identify, develop & initiate strategies to increase sales, reduce costs and drive conversion rate of brands including: price optimization, PPC, packaging/inserts, discounts and deals, customer communications, creative, changing package dimensions, subscribe and save, removing unprofitable products and more.
  • Produce daily, weekly and monthly reporting for all products, coordinating with our Head of DTC to ensure we maximize the performance of the brands.
  • Proactively catch issues before they are problems and understand everything about the ecosystem in which your products are selling (e.g., competitor landscape, industry landscape, marketing platform rule changes).
  • Coordinate with our Customer Experience Manager to ensure we are providing a world-class customer experience.
  • Coordinate with our supply chain team to ensure products are always in stock, of premium quality, have updated packaging, and have all appropriate required certifications.
  • Research strategies and tools across the ecommerce ecosystem to increase sales and improve our operational efficiency.

About you

  • 0 to 1 year of work experience, preferably in product management, marketing, or an analytical function.
  • Basic understanding and great interest in learning about the E-commerce ecosystem.
  • Strong analytical skills, ability to dig through data, draw conclusions and make recommendations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, a high level of organisation, and impeccable attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle tight deadlines and prioritise work in a fast-paced, often ambiguous environment with ad hoc issues requiring an immediate resolution on a near-daily basis.
  • A highly analytical self-starter who can manage multiple projects and figure out complex problems without a lot of oversight.
  • Demonstrated ability to create engaging content, come up with creative ideas, and think outside the box.
  • Positive attitude, reliable, transparent and enjoy working with different types of people.
  • Strong proficiency in excel is preferable.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, International Business, Marketing, Engineering, Sciences, Data Science or a related field is preferable.
