Digital Project Lead

As Digital Project Lead you will be the link to the digital service, the client engagement team and the client. You lead and contribute to client briefs, proposals, feasibility studies and project plans, in partnership with client engagement, creative and project management teams.

The role has two main areas of focus: growth and delivery. The growth element is about supporting our client teams, from costing and planning, to managing discovery phases and coming up with a technical solution. The delivery element is about ensuring the successful delivery of the project and either taking the lead on this or working closely with a delivery project manager.

The Digital Project Lead role’s long-term vision is to develop and progress a digitally focused growth strategy for an account, build a client network and identify opportunities.

What Will You Be Doing...

Growth

• As a Digital Lead, you are technically minded and solutions focused. You will work closely with Account Teams to support digital growth and understand the skills/team required to define a solution.
• You will have a passion for User Experience Design and will have the freedom, imagination and innovation to bring interactive digital projects to life.
• You will be responsible for interpreting briefs and generating briefs in collaboration with clients and client engagement teams.
• Supporting and contributing to client pitches
  

Project Delivery

• You will have strong communication and interpersonal skills to support the project team and the client throughout the delivery of the project
• Oversee project delivery and work closely with Delivery Project Managers
• When you are managing projects, you will, build budgets, produce project plans, manage risks and issues
• Engage with the relevant resources from across TCEG to fulfil a project scoping exercise. These resources may include creative, design, development, film, animation, learning design
• Develop project scope documents (including but not limited to sitemaps, wireframes, functional and technical specifications and project plans) in collaboration with expertise from the wider TCEG team
• Lead the creation of a technical solution in conjunction with the relevant teams and individuals, such as development
  

Essential

Education and Experience

• At least 5 years’ experience of managing digital projects
• Has a passion for progressive and emerging technologies
• Experience working as part of teams of all sizes in a fast-paced production environment
• Experience directing and enhancing the efforts of a multi-disciplinary team, including creatives, designers and developers
• Strong budgeting and financial skills
• Corporate and client facing experience, with the ability to manage client relationships and work to deepen their knowledge of digital technologies
• The ability to work across multiple projects and teams simultaneously
• Ability to negotiate and achieve win-win solution
• Demonstrable focus on quality
• Strong writing skills regarding the creation of proposal documents
• Ability to evaluate resource requirements instinctively
• Excellent prioritisation skills – in a busy multi-disciplinary environment
• Intelligent anticipation of client requirements and project issues
• Confidence and experience in facilitating and leading meetings
• Can contribute to and expand a digitally focused client growth strategy
• Confidence in supporting, mentoring and guiding more junior team members
  

Desirable

• Recognised project management qualification
• Educated to degree level or equivalent experience
• Experience of working for a creative agency delivering agnostic solutions for a large account
• Consultation experience
• Digital Producer experience
  

Knowledge

Essential

• Project Management methodology experience, ideally more than Waterfall
• Has an up to date knowledge of digital production and supporting technologies
• Familiarity with all MS Office applications
• Intermediate User MS Project.
  

Desirable

• Scrum, Agile, Waterfall, Lean, Kanban methodology experience
• Technical understanding of digital technologies
• Digital Content Production
• Experience of DevOps or something similar
• Experience of managing VR/AR experiences
