Design Co-ordinator
£30,000, full-time, excellent benefits
We are looking for an enthusiastic, positive design expert to coordinate and take responsibility for all design work for our client. You will need to liaise with clients including end users, architects and contractors as required to provide designs that meet the client’s requirements and are in accord with the relevant building regulations.
Responsibilities include -
Coordination of all project design work for schemes throughout the organisation The business have up to 100 projects of various sizes on the go at a time so you will be required to manage and prioritise your time across the different projects to ensure deadlines are met When it’s not possible for you to complete all the required workload yourself, you may need to contract in the assistance of freelance designers and manage their workload and quality check their work before submission You will need to attend, and where requested, lead design meetings along with the sales representatives All of your design work should be carried out in accordance with the relevant building regulations to which they apply Design works will need to be carried out in 2D CAD and Revit depending on the client’s requirements Communicate with clients to create the design packages and coordinate the submission of these to online portals and track comments and make the necessary changes Attend sales presentations with the sales representatives where necessary to provide design assistance during the meeting
Candidate requirements -
Strong design experience working on both commercial and domestic projects A good working knowledge of BIM Commercially focused Able to prioritise workload and excellent attention to detail Strong knowledge of building regulations
