We are a busy electrical wholesalers and currently looking for a team player to fill the position of Delivery Driver/Warehouse operative. The successful candidate will be required as a backup/additional driver responsible for ensuring timely delivery of goods to predetermined customers on specific routes, providing exceptional customer service to our client base. When not driving you will be required to assist the warehouse team in picking materials and packing them reading for delivery together with ensure incoming stock is put away in the correct locations. We will provide training to the right person who can demonstrate motivation and a willingness to learn. Delivery Driver responsibilities:

• Conduct inspections of vehicle before departing to deliver goods.
• Deliver orders to customers on assigned routes.
• Maintain ongoing communication with route dispatcher.
• Unload goods as per client specifications.
• Review deliveries with customers to ensure that products meet their needs.
• Obtain delivery confirmations from each customer.

Warehouse responsibilities:

• Accurate picking of stock as required by picking list.
• Packing of orders ready for despatch always ensuring care and attention to prevent damage.
• Assisting in stock takes as and when required.
• Assisting with delivery of goods received.
• Unloading deliveries.
• Checking delivered items match the delivered paperwork.
• Putting stock in correct locations.

Additional information:

• Preference will be given to applicants that live locally.
• Preference will be given to those applicants that have worked in the electrical wholesale industry.
• A clean driving licence for van deliveries is essential.
• Permanent Contract

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: £22,000.00-£26,000.00 per year
