We are looking for creative experienced teaching assistants from backgrounds such as acting, drama, music who can utilise and transfer their skills to a primary special needs setting. As a teaching assistant you will be supporting students on a one to one basis as well as supporting the class teacher and team. Successful candidates will encourage students development, engage through sensory play & interaction, understanding social cues & skills, teaching communication and enabling students to manage their behaviours.

Main Duties

  • Engaging students through interactive and creative activities such as art, music and P.E
  • Assisting students with sensory integration within the classroom
  • Teaching students to process emotions and understand their behaviours
  • Ensuring the schools ethos and policies are being implemented
  • Working together as part of a team
