We’re looking for a brilliant new team member to lead on all PR activity in relation to Clear Channel’s commercial activities in the UK and Europe and manage our UK social media channels.

You will be joining a well-established, friendly team of four that oversees all external and internal communications, social media as well as our charitable partnerships. As a team we shape, articulate and broadcast Clear Channel’s stories and work closely with all corners of the business to showcase the brilliant achievements of our teams, build our company’s reputation and raise awareness of Clear Channel in the wider world.

What you’ll be doing

As the Communications Manager, you will be responsible for all external communications of our commercial activities as well Clear Channel UK’s social media presence.

You’ll align with our commercial teams to identify, shape and disseminate stories about our products, sales proposition, insights and campaigns to continue positioning Clear Channel as a Platform for Brands and keep Out of Home front of mind in key industry press and beyond. You’ll work with senior stakeholders on thought leadership content, including speaking & interview opportunities, opinion pieces, as well as with our customers including Specialists, agencies and brands to promote exciting and often media-first campaigns and help win awards.

You’ll also manage Clear Channel UK’s social media presence, from strategy to execution, collaborating with colleagues from across the business to collate and create content. We’ll be looking for you to bring new ideas, to make other ideas better and to build great relationships with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders to contribute to Clear Channel’s commercial success. Ultimately, we want you to bring you, shape us.

Key responsibilities:

  • Partnering with Commercial teams (National Sales, Direct Sales, Create, Marketing) to identify PR opportunities and create a pipeline of news, stories and thought leadership content.
  • Drafting & editing content e.g. press releases, award submissions, opinion pieces, customer newsletter
  • Developing communications strategies for key UK & pan-European commercial initiatives (including Programmatic developments, research projects etc.) with implementation in the UK; sharing PR collateral and best practice with European colleagues.
  • Planning, creating and sharing content on CCUK social media channels (Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram + employee social advocacy platform Oktopost), driving engagement and measuring effectiveness.
  • Managing inbound enquiries through our external channels (website, social media) and handling reputational issues in relation to our commercial activities.

Who are you?

We’re looking for a versatile copywriter who can write for different audiences with ease and bring commercial stories to life through impactful social media content and PR campaigns. You should be confident working with people at all levels of seniority, across different parts of the business, as well as our customers, including leading brands and agencies.

You’ll have sound experience in a similar role (external communications/social media focused) from any industry background. It’d be a bonus if you previously worked for a company in the media and advertising industry.

Your approach should be proactive, with the ability to deliver to a high standard even when things get busy. We welcome fresh thinking and creative ideas as we’re always keen on changing how we do things for the better
