To work as part of the in-house Design team to produce new and amend existing CAD drawings and provide illustrations for various marketing/sales documentation.
Main Duties
o Use appropriate CAD software to produce technical drawings and 3d models.
o Read and accurately interpret drawings and technical specification.
o Use Illustration software to produce marketing/sales documentation.
o Work with key stakeholders regarding their CAD / illustration requirements
o Ensure drawings comply with company standards and processes
o Ensure all changes to products are recorded in the appropriate manner
o Maintain drawing files/folders and adhere to numbering procedures
o Use Microsoft Office package – Word / Excel / Outlook
o Prioritise and manage workload
Reporting to Production Design Manager.
Competencies
o Experience using Autodesk AutoCAD and Inventor
o Experience using Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
o Knowledge and experience of general engineering principles
o Have a high attention to detail
o Demonstrate organisation skills and be able to multitask
Desirable
o Use of illustrator software i.e. Adobe Illustrator / InDesign and Photoshop
o Experience with technical Illustration and graphics
o Experience with Autodesk Vault
o Experience with sheet metal
Additional duties not covered above may be assigned depending on person skill set.
