How will you support us?

As a Business Development Manager you will assist the Business Unit in the management, growth and acquisition of Key Accounts and to ensure that any lapsed or dormant accounts are re-activated; working with all functions to develop and leverage the scale of the Business Unit.

Typical tasks you can expect include;

• Find and develop key new business via lead sourcing, lead follow ups, and general customer interaction.
• Support key customers with the on-boarding of their new account, ensuring that they start and continue to spend.
• Work with the branch teams on agreeing and setting terms of trade for all key accounts
• Target large dormant & lapsed accounts to reactivate them
• Develop trust relationships with a portfolio of key customers to maintain and improve profitability
• Simplify the customer experience by ensuring close management of all owned accounts
• Acquire a thorough understanding of key customer needs and requirements, expanding relationships by continuously proposing solutions that meet the customer’s needs

• Experience within a similar type role
• Financial and commercial awareness
• Sales planning
