Business Analyst

Glasgow

As a Barclays Business Analyst, you will work to understand business problems, often helping to bridge the gap between the customer / business stakeholders and teams with a technical focus. Accordingly, you will combine an understanding of their business area with an understanding of the products, services or technology that they are working with. You will also help support the day to day management of the projects that the product teams are working on across a variety of data platforms.

What will you be doing?

  • Participating in requirements gathering & definition, analysis, and design phases
  • Working in-line with overall Barclays strategy across Technology delivery and Business operations change
  • Identifying, analysing, managing and monitoring relationships with and between stakeholders
  • Delivering Impact analysis, both business and technical, working closely with architects and solution designers
  • Coordinating hands-on assistance with different testing phases including User Acceptance Testing and Live proving
  • Working as a liaison among project stakeholders to elicit, analyse, communicate and validate features for new functionality keeping user training documentation up-to-date
  • Creating, and maintaining the project feature and story backlog in addition to any changes to those requirements
  • Participating in joint design sessions to groom and document features and stories. Create feature and story backlogs that are clear and straightforward

What We’re Looking For

  • Clear evidence of following a controlled project management methodology is essential
  • Knowledge and experience of performance of products or projects with a high level of regulatory scrutiny
  • Exposure to Product Owner roles and responsibilities
  • Proven financial and analytical skills is a must

Skills That Will Help You In The Role

  • Able to demonstrate previous evidence of drive, energy, commitment, and enthusiasm
  • Experience in banking applications and infrastructure, with an understanding of service management
  • Technical knowledge will be a benefit to assist with data analysis
