Do you have the expertise and knowledge of working within a student attendance focused role?
Do you have experience of attendance systems within an education setting?
If so, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.
As a key member of the Student Support team, you will take specific ownership for undertaking all tasks associated with the management and monitoring of attendance. In this role you will provide an effective and efficient service to the school and prospective parents, working with individual pupils and their families to improve attendance.
As a Attendance Officer, You Will
- Work alongside the pastoral team to promote excellent attendance
- Produce a range of attendance reports
- Issue routine correspondence to parents regarding attendance and absence requests in accordance with the school’s procedures.
- Be educated to NVQ level 2/3 or the equivalent, with previous experience of working with young people and their families.
- Have experience and knowledge of using attendance modules in SIMS, with the ability to work in an organised and methodical way in order to maintain accurate records.
- Be able to convey information clearly and accurately, both orally and in writing to a range of people, dealing calmly, tactfully and effectively with a wide range of people.
- Have knowledge of a range of computer applications, including work Word, Excel, PowerPoint and SIMS.
