The role of Assistant Financial Accountant will sit within the Finance team, reporting to the Financial Controller for a period of 6 months.

The role will focus on providing support to the above with a focus on improving reconciliations, producing financial accounts and tax returns.

The role of Assistant Financial Accountant will sit within the Finance team, reporting to the Financial Controller.

The role will focus on providing support to the above with a focus on improving reconciliations, producing financial accounts and tax returns.

Main Responsibilities

Assist with the month end process, with a focus on fixed assets, interfaces, journal posting and review

Reconciliation of the balance sheet on a daily/monthly basis and ongoing review of balances, identification and rectification of potential issues

Supporting the Financial Controller with tax and other returns

Support the Financial Controller with the review of processes and procedures and help to drive change in these areas to improve performance across the department

Support the Financial Controller with statutory reporting

Support the Financial Controller with ad hoc projects

Support with the year end audit (both SRA and Financial accounts)

Person Specification

Part Qualified ACCA/ACA/CIMA or prepared to study for them

Stakeholder Management

Good communicator and strong inter-personal skills

Good IT skills and knowledge of MS Office, Excel, Word etc.
