Graphic Designer

Fantastic opportunity for a graphic designer to join a dynamic industry and market sector leader

Working with design briefs to achieve the creation of visual presentations, design and/or copy of art layouts for HGV’s. This role liaises directly with assigned clients and includes the preparation of visual concepts and presentations to qualify ideas. The graphic designer will be responsible for assuring customer approval of final artwork within the accounts assigned.

The role holder will require excellent communication and persuasive skills while remaining focused on the customer experience. They should develop their relationships with clients to target connecting key team members with internal stakeholders.

Main duties

• Manage customers in line with expected lead time targets and the graphic designer should be the voice of the customer, feeding back into the company.
• Grow and develop our business through achieving long term positive client relationships.
• Communicate and manage customer changes that affect their requirements. Resolving conflicts and provide timely and successful solutions as required.
• Keep accurate and continual management of design details and progress on key system software (smart sheets).
• Proof reading designs to ensure an accurate and high standard of work is maintained.
• Exercise ownership in performance of duties. Seek problem resolutions using appropriate resources in a timely manner while minimizing cost impact to company.
• Liaise and coordinate regularly with other functions such as Purchasing, Logistics, Production to ensure OTIF delivery to our customers.

• Computer literate (moderate to high level) with a good knowledge of Illustrator, Adobe Creative Cloud, Photoshop, InDesign, Acrobat, Mac OS and MS Office suite.
• Upbeat positive attitude, enthusiasm for design, creative flair, presentable, good interpersonal skills and a flexible approach.

Minimum Requirements

• Eligible to live and work in the UK.
• Ability to travel mainly across the UK (some overseas travel may be required for training, exhibitions, meetings etc.).
• Full Clean UK driving licence.
• Degree or HND education or comparable qualifications.
• 2D design proven experience.
• Knowledge of various printing techniques.
• Ability to adapt and respond to different types of characters.
• Excellent verbal, written and communication skills.
• Demonstrable ability to communicate and present effectively.
• Keen attention to time management and deadlines.
• Integrity, reliability and maturity.

Preferred Qualifications

- Additional Language preferably Polish.

The role is based in Shipley but will involve travelling to a variety of sites throughout the UK and potentially in Poland.
