An exciting opportunity has arisen to work within the Artwork & Labelling Team at Torbay Pharmaceuticals (TP) as an Artwork Design Specialist.

You will be responsible for managing all aspects of artwork design and internal printing processes for product manufactured by TP. This includes printing of in-house materials for TP made products alongside contract manufacturing processes for UK and international markets. You will be managing a small team of printers that sits within the Regulatory Affairs sections who enable our organisation to deliver against its growing licensing business opportunities.

Main duties of the job

You will be a clear team member, motivated and highly organised, achieving a high standard of work to agreed deadlines. Reporting to the Head of Regulatory Affairs you will enjoy working autonomously in all aspects of artwork design and label printing from initial design of a potential licensed product through to supporting commercialisation. Artwork design is multi-disciplinary and therefore this role will require much personal interaction and excellent communication.

You will required to design new & maintain existing artwork (labels, packaging, product information leaflets etc.) in adherence with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) to support product registrations in the UK and overseas

This role is also required to support the labelling team as and when needed

This is a permanent position – 22.5 hours per week

Starting Salary: £33,706 per year

Qualifications

Essential criteria

Degree or equivalent in IT &/or Design or equivalant relevant experience within pharmaceutical packaging

Desirable criteria

GMP Trained

Management qualification

Project management qualification

Knowledge & Skills

Essential criteria

Project management skills

A good understanding of digital printing/large scale printing processes

A good understanding of Adobe Creative Suite (ideally Adobe Illustrator) or similar package

Desirable criteria

Specialist experience of GMP/GDP/GxP

Experience of working within an ISO accredited organisation or regulated environment.
