Job Introduction

This role has a starting salary of £34,356 per annum, based on working 36 hours a week.

Surrey County Council Cultural Services is looking for an efficient and creative Arts Project Coordinator to support the work of the arts team and provide coordination for the Arts Partnership Surrey.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a highly organised individual to make a positive contribution to the arts landscape across Surrey delivering a range of events and activities. You will need to work closely with the chair of the Arts Partnership to provide administration support and ensure the needs of the partnership are met.

This exciting role demands someone who can forge effective working relationships with a range of internal and external partners taking into consideration the needs of our communities across the region as well as creating and establishing new work to deepen and diversify our offer.

About You

The skills, qualities and experiences we are looking for in our new Arts Project Coordinator are:

  • Someone who is creative, innovative and highly motivated with a passion for the arts
  • Experience in coordinating, monitoring, risk management, mitigations and delivering a successful programme of events
  • Have successful experience developing and managing partnerships with a range of organisations
  • Have knowledge and understanding of effective evaluation processes within an arts context
  • Be an organised and effective communicator able to work both autonomously, and collaboratively as part of the wider Surrey Arts team.
  • Be willing and able to support the work across Surrey and outside of normal working hours.

You should also have your own car and a clean driving licence and be prepared to travel within the county.
