We have a great opportunity available for a driven individual to join our highly successful and growing Ecommerce team in the role of Art Sales Consultant.
As our Art Sales Consultant, you will be working as part of the Ecommerce sales team at our stunning Head Office based within The Mailbox, Birmingham. You will be the first point of contact for online customers and will be responsible for the efficient and effective management of clients looking to start and grow their art collections with Castle Fine Art.
Joining us on a full time, permanent basis working 37.5 hours per week (weekend work included), you will receive a competitive salary plus uncapped commission and bonus opportunities (OTE £40,000+).

Key responsibilities as our Sales Consultant will include (but not limited to):

  • Calling clients and discuss upcoming art releases to assess their interest with a view to buying artwork
  • Discussing our art and artists in a knowledgeable and credible manner with clients by email and telephone
  • Recommending alternatives artwork for customers if their original choice is unavailable
  • Handling and processing all incoming sales enquiries via e-mail and telephone, responding to interest in a proactive and professional way
  • Updating the ecommerce database to ensure that information held is accurate and up to date
  • Helping identify opportunities to develop further business through our digital offering
  • Attending artist events and shows when appropriate
  • Contributing to the online marketing of our products, including product launches and special promotions, working alongside our marketing team
  • Assisting Art Consultants with home viewings where necessary
  • Nurturing clients and identifying opportunities to progress clients to the Art Consultant team

Skills and experience required to become our Sales Consultant:

  • Excellent written and verbal skills
  • Financially motivated by commissionable sales
  • Ability to confidently use the phone to generate leads and business opportunities
  • Personality is central to making a success of this role and we specifically look for people who are enthusiastic and professional with a genuine interest in people
  • A detailed prior knowledge of art is not required as full training is provided, but previous sales experience is essential
  • Motivated with a flexible attitude to work
