Job role and responsibilities will include:

  • Loading and unloading delivery vehicles, by hand or with a forklift truck. (Electric forklift)
  • Checking for damaged or missing items
  • Organising transfers and loading goods on to delivery vehicles.
  • Cleaning and maintaining the warehouse will also be part of the daily routine
  • With heavy equipment in operation warehouses can be dangerous places, so following workplace health and safety rules will be essential
  • Warehouse operatives need a reasonable level of fitness and you’ll have to be a good timekeeper and be able to work under pressure to deadlines
  • As a warehouse operative you will be working both alone and as part of a team with efficiency and commitment to complete your work and strive to maintain the business performance targets
