Are you an entrepreneurial, dynamic account management professional, looking for an exciting opportunity in a fast-paced and diverse agency with an impressive growth trajectory? Then please read on!

We are hiring an Account Manager to support with a number of key healthcare accounts across The Creative Engagement Group. Your time will be split between two exciting global pharmaceutical clients and you will support the Client Engagement and Account Directors in managing the day to day account activity. You will engage with clients to identify and accurately articulate their needs, translating this into agency briefs. Subsequently, you will liaise with colleagues in the delivery teams to ensure that client expectations are understood and met and work with them to resolve issues as they might arise. Please note that this is not a project management role and is very much focused on the smooth running of the current book of business to support our growth ambitions. Accordingly, you will also be listening out for new business opportunities as part of your daily client interactions.

An agency background is essential, preferably with live events or broadcast experience – ideally in the healthcare space.

Whilst we are open to a partial remote working arrangement, some office-based time will be critical in building relationships with key internal stakeholders and / or for in-person client meetings or events.

What will you be doing...

Your day-to-day responsibilities can be broken down as follows:

Leadership

  • Become a Subject Matter Expert for your client – understand their business strategy, their organisational structure and culture, as well as their brand and processes
  • Be able to represent a client point of view to delivery teams and share client insight / intelligence freely
  • Support the delivery teams to ensure that client expectations are understood and met, providing guidance and oversight to ensure we deliver excellence to our clients
  • Facilitate the identification of clear roles and responsibilities across the project team, in particular when multiple service lines are involved
  • Partner with the delivery teams to monitor progress, resolve issues as they might arise and be the point of escalation where needed
  • Be aware of and take an interest in the work going on across the account in the agency, so you can support the client and the agency to join up the dots
  • Interrogate, interpret, write, and challenge agency and client briefs, helping to guide the client through the process from start to finish
  • Actively contribute and assist the Client Engagement and Account Directors in the preparation and implementation of Account Plans
  • Be curious and observant, interpret client challenges to identify new business opportunities

Relationship

  • Assist the Client Engagement and Account Directors in developing and acquiring new business by proactively managing and nurturing good client relationships at every level
  • Be responsible for generating client contact reports for client meetings and supporting with other account administration as required, including coordinating team meetings, business review meetings etc.
  • Support to develop proposals and solutions both in response to RFPs and as part of pro-active business acquisition, co-ordinating with various teams across the agency
  • Nurture internal relationships and organically promote the full range of TCEG services as appropriate and fit for client needs
  • Demonstrate a thorough understanding of the full range of TCEG services and know when to bring in the experts to support the conversation

Accountability

  • Act as the key client point of contact during briefing and post project reviews, ensuring work is executed in accordance with client MSAs and SLAs
  • Work with the operations team and heads of departments to appropriately resource projects
  • Be responsible for the review of multiple and varied budgets up to a certain value
  • Maintain oversight of the commercial value of projects, ensuring appropriate rate cards are used and margins are maintained
  • Work with the delivery teams to ensure the budget is regularly updated and scope managed in line with budget parameters
  • Oversee client invoicing in accordance with payment terms / critical milestones and support to resolve any invoicing queries / payment issues

What do you need to have...

  • Agency experience is a must, ideally in a live or virtual events setting
  • Pharma / healthcare experience is also essential
