An amazing new job opportunity has arisen for a committed Psychologist to work in an exceptional hospital service based in the Orpington, Kent area. You will be working for one of UK’s leading health care providers

This hospital is a low secure hospital for young people with mental health, behavioural or psychological difficulties, and an Ofsted-registered school which supports the young people with educational attainment
  • To be considered for this position you must be qualified as a Psychologist registered with HCPC**
As The Psychologist Your Key Responsibilities Include
  • Undertaking specialist structured, semi-structured and standardised psychological assessments
  • Developing specialist psychological formulations based on assessments
  • Formulating plans for patients’ psychological treatment
  • Implementing specialist psychological interventions for individuals and groups
  • Working autonomously within professional guidelines and the overall framework of the hospital’s policies and procedures
  • Providing support to staff in the form of reflective practice groups and staff training
The following skills and experience would be preferred and beneficial for the role:
  • Has training in clinical and psychological psychometrics
  • Skills in individual and group work, as well as in programme planning
  • Skilled in using complex methods of psychological assessment to inform psychological formulation and intervention
  • The ability to effectively communicate (both written and verbally), complex, highly technical or clinically sensitive information
  • Experience representing psychology within the context of multidisciplinary care

The successful Psychologist will receive an excellent salary of £50,000 per annum. This exciting position is a Full Time role working 37.5 hours a week.
