By joining us as a Project Pursuit Manager, you will play a key part in Emerson’slong-term market position in securing Final Control project business.

This role is both a strategic and proactive one, collaborating closely with all stakeholders to increase Final Control - Pressure Management business year over year, whilst positioning the relevance of Emerson as a Main Valve Partner.

In this role you will:
  • Win strategic project business while working closely with the Global Project Pursuit teams, UK Project Management & Sales and other Business Platforms to maximise bookings;
  • Actively participate in project qualification, project positioning, and position strengthening;
  • Identify, build, and earn key Power / Technical / Commercial sponsor support & long-term relationships;
  • Manage the development and execution of sales strategies;
  • Lead and coordinating all available internal and external project resources necessary to win, including executive sponsors, GPP, divisional, proposal, execution, local business partners, and service resources;
  • Lead both early and ongoing customer meetings;
  • Facilitate smooth project team transition and ownership as projects move from FEED to EPC stages;
  • Assemble and coordinate project pursuit and project execution teams, while leading commercial negotiations early in the project pursuit cycle;
  • Provide competitive, technical, and commercial input for proposal creation, and lead proposal reviews;



Required qualifications and experience
  • HNC / Degree in Engineering discipline or equivalent preferred;
  • Solid Field Sales experience with proven track record in winning projects and customer service;
  • Broad understanding of process automation solutions, ideally centered around pressure management;
  • Solid understanding of business drivers, commercial negotiations, and decision-making processes for automation;
  • Relationship building, communication, persuasion, negotiation, and customer service skills are core requirements;
  • Computer literacy with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications [Excel, Work and PowerPoint] and CRM tools;
  • Full clean driving license and willingness to travel frequently;
