The Project
As the Project Manager you will be reporting into the General Manager your overall objective will be to organise and manage the delivery of multiple planned works programmes in-line with the contract requirement. You will manage a dedicated planned team whilst ensuring compliance with quality and H&S standards, meeting programme timescales, engaging with supply chain and achieving budget and satisfaction targets. • Works will be included. • Planned kitchen and Bathroom refurbishment • Planned roofing and guttering programmes. • Loft insulation • Storage heater replacement • EICR programme Most importantly, you will be joining a values-based business with a true family ethos, with our people at the heart of everything that we do.
Essential and Desirable Criteria
Essential: • Ability to read interpret and understand programmes, drawings, schedules and specifications. • Proven ability to work to and develop operating procedures • Ability to report confidently on programme progress (internally & externally) and foresee future programme issues and plan a resolution to said issues. • Comfortable producing progress updates for the client in preparation for client meetings & internal reviews. • Ensure that the site management teams are holding collaboration meetings (jointly) with key supply chain members regularly and maintaining the focus of programme, quality & H&S. PM to support directly where necessary. • To be commercially aware, comfortable working alongside the commercial team, confident in challenging others and ensuring programme deadlines are achieved. • Full working knowledge of H&S and Environmental legislation including but not restricted to the CDM regulations • Comfortable and confident in managing your own workload and diary, driving your team forward, whilst also being supported from the senior management team. • Experience of working in and around Asbestos during refurbishment works and comfortable ensuring asbestos compliance. • Excellent Leadership, management and team development skills with particular experience of leading a team of site managers. • Strong client liaison and communication skills. Ability to produce accurate, concise and detailed reports, minutes of the projects under your remit, both internally & externally • A valid CITB Site Management Safety Training Scheme certificate • Strong understanding of construction operations and related sectors. • Role Appropriate CSCS card • First Aid at work certificate • Valid driver’s license Desirable: • Experience of working for a social housing client • Experience of overseeing multiple projects with a number of Site, assistant site managers, CLO’s reporting to you. • External refurbishment experience – particularly, windows, structural repairs, roofing • High rise experience including scaffolding and Mast climbers would also be beneficial but not critical • Temporary works experience would be advantageous Fortem embraces diversity in the workplace and encourages applications from all sectors of the community.
