What you will do

We are looking for a Project Manager to join our Tyco Fire & Integrated Solutions business unit. Reporting to the Managing Director of Nu-Form Fire, you will be integral to the development and growth of an exciting channel for the Tyco brand.

Our preferred candidate will prioritise customer experience, have a strong leadership style coupled with excellent commercial acumen. The role will require you to be adaptable and work with pace.

How you will do it

Based from either home, on site or one of the Nu-Form offices, maintaining close working relationships with all interested stakeholders to achieve management excellence and ensure the department’s goals and standards are maintained. Apply consistency and standardisation to metrics, processes, and ways of doing business.

Ideally having the ability to design and hydraulically calculate water-based fire suppression systems, including Sprinklers, deluge systems and Hydrants, incorporating their water supplies.

You will be required to manage day-to day design issues with colleagues, clients, M&E design teams, Fire Consultants, Installers, Fabricators, Local Fire and Water authorities and Fire Insurers.

On occasions, you may be required to work on site with our client’s design team.

You will be responsible for all aspects of projects including labour management, procurement, site inspections, client and consultant liaison, H&S and any other aspects of a project post-sale to completion and handover.


What we look for

A proven track record in a similar management role, in a technical or construction environment.

Fully conversant with LPC Rules incorporating BS EN 12845, NFPA and FM Global standards for all hazard classifications from conceptual design through to project completion.

Experience in a similar role (designing or project manager).

Knowledge with FHC software.

A robust understanding of Microsoft Office programmes and general IT skills.

Proficient in the use of AutoCAD to produce 2D layouts.

Ability to carry out site surveys.

Capable of producing computerised hydraulic calculations and associated layout drawings.

Knowledge of Health & Safety and industry codes and standards.

Applicants should hold a valid Driving Licence, current SMSTS, CSCS and other relevant industry certifications.
