Description– Providence plans to expand our technical services and Project Management capabilities by recruiting an experienced and customer-centric Project Manager to join the Projects Team. The job is based at our main office near Hereford with the successful applicant reporting to the Commercial Director.

Role and Responsibilities

To keep up with the growth of our business, and to assist with both existing and anticipated project requirements, we want a proven Technical Project Manager to take the lead on several important client projects within the business.

· Responsible for leading and managing multidisciplinary teams across a range of technical projects.

· Bid and proposal development.

· Commercial awareness – working with the Commercial Director to define strategy and approach.

· Consult with the end-user to ensure concise requirements capture.

· Project initiation and through life management.

· Project planning, set-up, administration, and governance.

· Recovery planning, implementation, execution, and delivery.

· Ensuring compliance to key customer and regulatory requirements.

· Financial analysis, monitoring, and control.

· Resource management and scheduling.

· Change management.

· Key stakeholder management and acts as key customer interface for all project matters.

· Responsible for ensuring the most cost effective and efficient means of delivery, while mitigating risk and leveraging opportunities.

Desired Experience, Skills and qualifications

· Project Management qualification such as APM PMQ/PRINCE2 or similar (or relevant graduate qualification in Project Management).

· Minimum of two years’ technical PM experience.

· Experience of working with MoD, DE&S, or government contracting and programme management organisations is highly desirable.

· Proficient in the use of Office 365, including MS Project, as well as other contemporary software tools.

· Technical qualifications in Engineering/IT/Telecommunications.

· Articulate and well-rounded, with good written and oral communication skills.

· Enthusiastic approach to learning new technologies and working with customers and clients on their requirements.

· Excellent problem-solving skills and strong personal initiative. Good attention to detail.

· Able to work and produce consistent results with minimal supervision.

· Full UK driving licence.

Salary: £50,000.00-£60,000.00 per year
