Magdalene operates as a Telecommunication Infrastructure Services Company and is part of the Telecom Division of M Group Services. Covering the full network lifecycle, we deliver Managed Services and Projects for both fixed and mobile infrastructure networks across the operator and utility markets.

We are looking for a Project Manager to be part of our SPEN Capital delivery Programme in the UK.

What will you be doing?

Reporting to the SPT Programme Manager, working within Magdalene’s Project Management team, the Project Manager will be responsible for managing Customer projects from Project Initiation to release into Operations. The Project Manager will own and manage the delivery of small to large / complex customer solutions through the effective coordination of internal Magdalene Service Delivery teams and external third-party delivery partners.

They will also support and engage closely with the customer’s project team. The Project Manager will be the single point of contact for all deliverables within the projects, meet required quality levels, budgets and timescales; utilising the Magdalene Project Management methodology.

What will your key responsibilities be?

  • Managing Projects with a variety of products.
  • Typically managing up to 15 concurrent projects at a time, dependent on size and complexity.
  • Project ownership from Project Initiation through to Customer Operations.
  • Setup a manage a Project team
  • Manage all communications on the project
  • At a minimum host a weekly internal and external customer call, with face to face customer meetings as needed.
  • Provide regular internal reports and external customer reports when requested
  • Monitor the project using MS Project and ITSM.
  • Identify and Manage Risks, Issues, Actions and Dependencies throughout the lifecycle of the project.
  • Cost Tracking, Budget and Forecasting. Ensuring the business and customer know when to expect charges/revenues.
  • Adhere to Change Control Procedure
  • Report time spent on the project against what has been sold to the customer
  • Pass Gate Control Checks to ensure Quality standards are being adhered to
  • Assist with Project Methodology improvement, suggesting and improving the fast-paced environment

What competencies are we looking for?

Essential
  • Proven track record of delivery and a proactive approach to managing projects
  • Demonstrable experience of budget control
  • Must have excellent presentation and formal communicational skills
  • Will be skilled and experienced in the Microsoft Office suite
  • Competent in MS Project

Desirable

  • Strong understanding of H&S regulations and ability to implement on Telecoms projects.
  • Understanding of CDM (2015)
  • Confident and able to liaise and influence across all levels within the Business, the Customer and suppliers with proven in experience in managing challenging stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • PRINCE2 Practitioner or equivalent Project Management Qualification would be highly desirable.
