The opportunity

Project: This is a refurbishment project of a grade II listed colosseum - a hospitality and entertainment venue with a main auditorium capacity of 1,200.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting the successful delivery of the project or programme, achieving high client satisfaction scores.

  • Directing integrated project teams that bring together people with one vision across a number of companies and stakeholders.

  • Ensuring a safe and collaborative working environment where people thrive.

  • Assisting in the leading multidisciplinary teams in matrix organisations to meet client outcomes.

  • Managing and outperforming against the contract (typically JCT/NEC).

  • Refining and developing the project brief.

  • Preparing the project execution plan (PEP).

  • Preparing and maintaining a master programme from inception to completion to record principal activities and identify critical dates.

  • Monitoring and reporting on the progress of the consultants and contractors against the master programme.

  • Overseeing the design programme and monitor the production of information in a timely manner.

  • Contributing to the review of project performance and production of reporting to drive continuous improvement.

  • Assigning and following-up project actions, for example, reporting project progress, monitoring costs and progress, acceptance of project-specific procedures.

  • Maintaining records, traceable files and arrange to the archive on the closure of the project as appropriate.

  • Being a role model and championing social value initiatives.

  • Ensuring compliance against our quality management system to ensure we are meeting client outcomes and standards.

About you

You have a degree qualification in a relevant discipline and a member of a professional body institute such as RICS, CIOB or APM. You have experience in contract administration and using various forms of contract, in particular, NEC will be preferable.

You have experience in managing complex projects with arts, culture and heritage sector clients and thrive on delivering positive outcomes. You are digitally savvy, can build lasting client relationships and work well as part of a team. You will have experience in delivering projects in a consultancy environment, keen to grow your career and enjoy the opportunities Mace has to offer.
