Project Manager

Location: Home Based initially, covering South of England, offices in Ringwood
Salary: £41,000, DoE (Including Company Vehicle allowance)
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Contract: Full time, Permanent

The Role

We are a specialist provider of NHS IT Infrastructure and Support services, supporting NHS organisations to improve their Hardware Infrastructure and patient care.

This role will initially have full WFH requirement which could include some travel across our customer base, the South of England and in the future, post COVID restrictions will include working from our office in Ringwood, near Bournemouth.

We are looking to employ a full-time Project Manager with experience managing IT based hardware infrastructure projects. However, the Project Management experience is key over the specific technical expertise, which can be taught to the right candidate who has the interest and capacity to learn quickly and demonstratable experience of learning new products and processes. Any applicant will receive a full handover of projects for up to a minimum of 6 weeks, ongoing support from existing team and on the job training in systems and processes.

We provide outsourced IT service and solutions to the NHS, so experience or understanding of working with but not for the public sector would be beneficial but is not essential. Full driving licence required.

Key Responsibilities
  • Successful delivery of multiple infrastructure projects concurrently using PRINCE2 methodology but with the ability to flexibly manage projects outside this framework where needed.
  • Successfully manage relationships with end users, customers, internal departments and third-party organisations, in line with the customer focused ethos of our business.
  • Engage with customers to help design projects which fit with the businesses needs and their IT strategies.
  • Engage with all relevant customer stakeholders utilising excellent communication, written, verbal, listening and influencing skills.
  • Responsibility for compilation of Project Documentation such as: PIDs, Highlight Reports, End of Project Reports etc.
Key Competencies
  • Demonstrable experience of successfully managing IT infrastructure projects, full project lifecycle.
  • Hold a Prince2 Practitioner, ITIL, PMP or equivalent qualification.
  • An understanding or experience in some of the technologies being deployed, i.e., PC or Laptop Refresh projects, Server Replacements, Client Operating System deployments (Win 10).
  • Must possess excellent written and oral communication skills and able to present, hold meetings, and discussions with Senior Management and clients.
  • Be an analytical thinker because the role involves analysis of data and design of processes.
Desirable Skills
  • Have a keen eye on attention to detail to ensure projects deliver products to high quality standards.
  • Must be efficient and effective with task and time management due to the fast-paced nature of the projects we run.
  • Need to be resilient and pragmatic to change, the environment we work in is ever-changing, so quick and concise actions are required to keep projects on track.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills ideally with networking or client relationship experience.
  • Experience managing teams without direct line management.
  • A strong team player who can use their initiative and self-manage where needed
