The Company

This Project Manager’s role is with one of the UK’s leading main contractors. Operating primarily in the new build sector with projects ranging in value from £10 - £100m. Typical project types span most private and public sector works and this role is within their Southern division that covers London and Home Counties

The Role

The initial project that you will be working on is a £45m new build datacentre. The is a fast track project with a 40 week programme delivering 130,000 sqf. For this role it is essential that you have previous experience of working on either datacentre or steel frame/industrial type schemes with similar values. Reporting into a Project Director you will be responsible for managing the project including
  • Maintain the highest standards of health, safety and environmental management.
  • Develop and monitor strategies to deliver a quality build
  • Manage the client expectations and take a professional and considerate approach.
  • Manage the supply chain and ensure effective implementation to deliver the project on time.
  • Manage the operational aspects of the project to achieve the budget
  • Review performance against targets and identify and manage potential risks and opportunities
  • Lead and motivate the project team to deliver the project
  • Manage project handover and ensure defect /snag free completion
