As the Project Manager, Logistics/IT, you will be responsible for supporting internal and external projects for an assigned business unit. What you’ll do on a typical day:

  • Create and handle cohesive project programs and plans with identifiable critical paths, task dependencies, risk/issue mitigation processes and major milestones
  • Work with business leaders to identify and scope areas of opportunity to create and implement process improvements
  • Develop customer presentations that illustrate solution components and value propositions
  • Provide value propositions by identifying opportunities through rigorous data collection and analysis
  • Contribute to the creation of standard operating procedures
  • Drive customer onboarding and implementation for new business and navigate internal operations
  • Document requirements for new projects, including current state, future state and gap analysis
  • Provide analytical, troubleshooting, training or escalation support for new startup initiatives or projects
  • Monitor completed projects to research the health of the account, review KPIs, review operational assumptions vs. planned, etc.
  • Provide project management expertise and coach junior project managers

What you need to succeed:

At a minimum, you’ll need:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent related work or military experience
  • 4 years’ experience in project management creating and deploying processes and procedures preferably within the Supply Chain or Logistics industry with experience managing cross functional teams
  • Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Availability to travel up to 20% of the time

It’d be great if you also have:

  • Master’s degree
  • 6+ years related experience
  • Project Management Institute (PMI) PMP Certification preferred or obtainable within 1 year of start date
  • Logistics or Transportation industry experience
  • Smartsheet Experience or working knowledge
  • Engineering or business-related experience
  • Solid understanding of professional services economics, and experience with change management processes
  • Ability to conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities
