Job Description - Project Manager
Reporting to: Managing Director
Hours: Full time (37.5 hours per week) including occasional Saturdays.
Based: Bishop Auckland, County Durham
Contract: Permanent
Salary: £36,000

Purpose

As Project Manager you will be responsible for the planning, management, and successful delivery of our Keeping People Connected service, Creative Placements project and Volunteering Project. You will oversee our MADEby brand, supporting events that we organise and promoting our social impact to develop new traded income streams.

We’re looking for someone who is great at developing people as well as projects - people are at the heart of what we do and managing and empowering staff will be key to the success of this role.

You will be fully invested in the organisation, it’s operations, vision for the future,s ocial aims, and values.

You will have a positive, hands-on, enthusiastic, and innovative approach to work.

You will value the importance of our team culture and be able to manage responsibilities independently.

You will have a good understanding of Bridge Creative, health and social care, and the needs of the communities we support. We hope you will feel motivated and inspired by what we do.

You will be able to evidence successful work of this nature within other charitable, community or voluntary sector organisations (at least 3 years’ experience) and have excellent organisational, communication and networking skills. Experience in business and events would be beneficial to this role but not essential.

Main Duties

  • Oversee and manage projects and services to ensure successful delivery and outcomes.
  • Line manage staff and volunteers within different teams in the organisation, empowering them to reach their potential.
  • Ensure that Bridge Creative continues to be led by the people it supports and ensure that people are encouraged to raise their aspirations, achieve their goals, and reach their potential.
  • Directly support adults with a learning disability and autistic adults on a 1-1 and groupb asis to gain work experience, training, volunteering and employment, to create an engaging supported work environment.
  • Ensure projects and services comply with relevant kitemarks and quality

standards in order to meet assessment criteria.

  • Contribute to business planning, bid-writing, budgeting and the overall sustainability of the organisation.
  • Assist with exploring and developing new opportunities for the organisation and the people we support through research, networking, and partnerships.
  • Record qualitative and quantitative data using a range of impact-measurement techniques to produce impact reports to demonstrate our social value and increase the potential for new opportunities.
  • Work with the senior management team to implement new, high-quality- outcome projects and services that provide a transformative and valuable experience for people we support.
  • Support the development of a marketing and communications plan and design campaigns, linking in with relevant national and regional campaigns, ensuring that key dates and events are communicated throughout.
  • Ensure projects and services you manage/oversee are accessible, safe and are consistently of excellent quality.
  • Implement systems and operations that improve efficiency within the organisation, its premises, projects, and services.
  • Support the creation and implementation of relevant policies, procedures, risk assessments and reports including an annual impact report.
  • Undertake, as and when required, any additional tasks and responsibilities as are reasonably compatible with this job description and its objectives.
  • Promote and incorporate Bridge Creative’s mission, vision, aims and values through your work, including at events, talks, and meetings, and within the workplace, to increase awareness and develop the reputation of the organisation.

Experience, Knowledge, Qualifications and Skills

  • At least 3 years work experience in a similar role within the VCSE sector.
  • At least 2 years management experience.
  • A sound understanding of the social model of disability.
  • A passion for motivating people to reach their potential.
  • Knowledge of the barriers faced by disabled people when accessing employment.
  • Desirable - Experience in running your own business, events and/or marketing.
