We currently have an exciting opportunity for you to join STI Ltd as Project Manager, based at our manufacturing site in Hook. This is a fantastic opportunity for proactive and hardworking individuals to join a busy and fast-paced team. This role is offered on a full time, permanent basis in return for a competitive salary depending on experience and skills.

As a Project Manager you will be responsible for the delivery of complex projects. The role of the project manager is to ensure that customer expectations are met in line with the agreed contract.

The Project Manager role will involve:
  • Taking overall responsibility for planning, budgeting, overseeing, documenting all aspects of a specific project.
  • The main point of contact with the customer until the project is mature and handed over to account management.
  • Communicate project status reports to all stakeholders’ customer and STI senior management.
  • Actively participate in the project opportunity phase of new and existing customer requirements.
  • Attend customer sites as required and create / deliver presentations to support project bids.
  • Assist in defining the scope of projects to include deliverables, timescales and project resources.
  • Co-ordinate and communicate project plans and risk management plans into the factory and ensure adequate handover to internal parties.
  • Get the required commitment from internal departments including Operations, Procurement, Engineering and Quality in order to deliver the project.
  • Produce any exceptional project documentation required to support the project.
  • Implement and manage project changes and interventions. Advise the customer of subsequent changes to delivery schedule and cost.
  • Develop best practices and tools for project implementation and management.

For this role you will need:
  • Educated to degree level in business / engineering related subject desirable
  • Qualification in Project Management or equivalent (Prince 2, APM)
  • Demonstrable experience working in project environment (preferably in a manufacturing or service environment)
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office to include; Excel, Word, Power-point, Outlook & Project.
  • The ability to present a professional image of the company.
  • Ability to create and maintain constructive working relationships internally and externally across a number of stakeholders.
  • Critical thinking and problem solving skills
  • Ability to effectively prioritise and carry out tasks in a high-pressure environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
  • Excellent influencing and negotiating skills.
