About The Role

Kier are currently looking to recruit a Project Manager for our Falcon Cities Projects, based out of Falkirk (Remote working only agreed upon Manager discretion). This role will assist with our contracts throughout Scotland.

Job Description

You will be working into the Programme Manager. Your role will be to ensure we maintain and deliver our targets throughout our Falcon cities build and hit the glides we commit to our client week on week. You will be responsible for calls and meetings with the client and ensuring you are getting the most out of our supplier base to meet the committed glides, ensuring we deliver what we promise. You will mitigate any failure with reasons to our client and address how we can resolve any issues within the quickest timeframe.

KeyResponsibilities
  • Ensure all enabling suppliers are delivering to the committed dates agreed with daily updates to be provided by suppliers on delivery.
  • Cost tracking, budget, and forecasting. Ensuring the business and customer know when to expect charges/revenues.
  • Provide direction to your project team.
  • Managing daily issues alongside the field management team (Suppliers / Supervisor / Gangs)
  • Weekly calls with Openreach to discuss in week and weekly glide commitments / projected forecasts & completions.
  • Ensure that the project is fully compliant with the local authority and statutory provisions for the administration of Streetworks legislations.
  • Weekly meetings with senior management to review high level overview of delivery
  • Collaboratively committing to weekly THP targets alongside the Project Manager & Openreach
  • Providing weekly Hoppers to the Delivery Teams, ensuring enabling works are complete.
  • Ensuring all Direct Labour and Suppliers have submitted all Risk Assessments daily via our in-house Applications.
  • Training Suppliers and our new and expanding workforce on Depot Net.
  • PPE Requestions / Equipment & Tool Requisitions and Hiring of Tools as instructed by Line Manager
  • Arranging Training and ensuring competencies are driven throughout Direct Labour and Supplier Resource
  • Identify ways to reduce costs and improve performance.
Essentials
  • Telecoms experience required.
  • Proven track record of delivery and a proactive approach to managing projects.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel & Office experience required.
  • Ability to lead a team.
  • Excellent presentation and formal communication skills.
  • A good track record of working in an office/programme-based environment.
  • Ability to understand and implement agreed plans which support the needs of the business and support operational effectiveness.
  • The ability to work collaboratively with Stakeholders both within the client spectrum and suppliers.
  • Ability to follow and a process driven environment.
