Recruitment Project
To lead on a high volume recruitment campaign, under the direction of the Head of
Resourcing and in conjunction with the Recruitment, Medical Staffing and Divisional HR
Teams, to fill the majority of Trust vacancies, both permanent and those to support the
acceleration and recovery works.
This worker will ensure all roles are advertised in a timely manner and in the correct place to
garner maximum interest and working alongside the substantive Recruitment Teams will
oversee the hiring process to ensure it is swift. This role will also liaise with agencies where
roles (such as those for the accelerator programme) are deemed to require agency cover.
The goal of this role is to create the dedicated capacity in the recruitment team at a senior
level for a short period of time to advertise and fill key vacancies quickly and before other
Trusts recruit the best candidates from the market place.
The Key Tasks Are
- Review current external facing media (website, video, blog etc) ensuring we are
- "selling" ourselves fully
- Collate full list of vacancies and ascertain status
- Ensure all vacancies are advertised
- Ascertain if specialist advertising is needed for specific roles and arrange as required
- Determine best high volume advertising and arrange as required
- Draft monthly highlight/KPI report
To lead on the staff survey work, under the direction of the Head of OD, Culture & Staff
Engagement and in conjunction with the Divisional Teams and HRBPs, to engage with staff to
gather detailed feedback about the reasoning for the staff survey scores and to identify and
implement any necessary improvements. This role will also plan the coming year’s staff
survey campaign.
The goal of this role is to create the dedicated capacity in the OD team to project manage and
drive forwards the activities required to ensure the required improvements are being made
in relation to this year’s staff survey feedback and also to arrange next year’s campaign.
The Key Tasks Are
- Share this year’s staff survey data with each Department, CSU and Division in detail
- for detailed action plans to be drafted and delivered.
- Oversee the programme of conversations about this year’s data. Detailed Staff Survey
- conversations will take place at Dept. and CSU level, led by their manager and HRBP,
- using the Staff Survey Goes Large approach utilised in 2019. This involves having a
- series of team meetings to review the data and ask the team what could be done
- differently to improve it. An action plan is then created, in conjunction with the HR
- team and this is tracked throughout the year, evidencing the changes to the teams as
- they are delivered. Where necessary bespoke coaching and people development will
- be provided. Finally, a review taken place at the end of the programme so that the
- team are aware of the changes and have an opportunity to acknowledge/comment
- on their success or otherwise.
- In addition to the review and actioning of this year’s data, plans will be put in place for
- next year’s staff survey campaign. These include targeted events leading up to the
- survey launch as part of a Staff Appreciation month, events such as dept thank you
- baskets and "you said, we did" initiatives.
- Arrange this year’s Reflect and Protect event, forming a working group to arrange the
- staff survey and flu/covid vaccine event in the Autumn. This is a repeat of a precious
- event and so will need events management to make sure all arrangements are in
- place.
- Draft monthly highlight/KPI report
