We deliver business process management services and comprehensive loan servicing and software for more consumer and commercial loan products than any other provider.

We’re currently looking for an experienced Project Manager with a background in Financial Services or other regulated environment.

As Project Manager as part of our Solutions team, you will build and manage relationships with Target Groups new client stakeholders, leading a team to deliver controlled and efficient implementation of their business change against agreed time, cost and quality SLA’s.

Although our offices are based in Newport, Cardiff and Chester, this position offers 100% flexible working so we welcome applicants from across the UK!

Main responsibilities will include:
  • Effective management of project team resources, including the ability to create and manage resource profiles as per the resource management system.
  • Establish, build and manage good working relationships with client stakeholders at all levels, and able to effectively manage conflict, negotiating and influencing as appropriate to protect relationships
  • Work with clients to define success criteria and ensure these are met by adhering to quality in line with QMF standards
  • Effective management and control of the project to ensure delivery to agreed criteria of cost, time and quality.
  • Supporting the bid process to ensure that all aspects of Project Management and PMO effort are estimated, associated risks are identified, and an achievable implementation timeline is established.
  • Facilitation of project transition through stage gates throughout the project lifecycle, using appropriate documents and tools to deliver projects smoothly.
  • Providing project progress and status reporting, highlighting risks / issues for escalation to steering and stakeholders.
  • Understanding of different methodologies, working with clients to determine what would be most effective.
  • Understanding of all test types, and able to work with clients to develop effective test strategies
  • Owning and running project reviews, ensuring lessons learnt and best practices are absorbed and integrated into business and project processes.

Requirements

We’re keen to speak to candidates with the following experience:
  • Proven experience effectively planning and scheduling projects of varying complexities within client-facing or transformational change, to agreed time, cost and quality
  • Recognised industry-standard accreditation in Project Management methodologies (e.g. PRINCE2, PMI, APM PMQ)
  • An understanding of / or accreditation in relevant change subject areas e.g. Scrum, Agile, Change Management
  • An understanding of the wider Financial Services industry and the market challenges and drivers that impact our clients, ideally having sub-sector knowledge as relevant to Target Portfolios (e.g. Mortgages / Lending, Public Sector, Regulatory, Investments)

  • MI & Reporting

You’re someone who is:
  • A strong communicator who establishes effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Able to effectively negotiate where appropriate and manage conflict
  • Not afraid to challenge the status quo to improve internal processes and procedures
  • Proactively produce reports and has the ability to problem solve; able to identify and manage risks and issues promptly and effectively
  • Scans for new thinking and learning in Project and Programme Management e.g. attends webinars, seminars, learning events
