My Client has recently won a range of large global contracts that require a number of dedicated Project Managers (working as contractor via Manpower), who will maintain full responsibility for the successful delivery of all customer requirements. This Client manufactures large scale polymer and composite components for a range of specialist industries including marine, off shore, oil & gas & renewables offering a range of products & solutions that are designed to protect specific needs, whilst being manufactured & tested in accordance with industry standards.

What will your day look like a Project Manager?

▪ Successful delivery of all allocated projects on time, in budget & meeting all necessary compliance through the complete project life cycle.

▪ Supporting the Project & Planning, & Sales Teams to secure new requisitions

▪ Participate in the ’Sales-to-Project Handover’ and contract review process.

▪ Carry out risk management and change management activities.

▪ Create and maintain project schedules.

▪ Project cost control and reporting i.e. supporting invoicing and revenue recognition processes.

▪ Manage scope change effectively.

▪ Effectively communicate with the client including the issue of Project Progress Reports.

▪ Chair ’Kick Off’ and ’Pre-Production Meetings with the client.

▪ Create project documentation inclusive of manufacturing work instructions.

▪ Use ERP software to support project delivery.

▪ Other appropriate activities as defined by senior management.

What do you need to be successful?

▪ Demonstrable experience in delivery of a variety of project types.

▪ Communicate effectively with the client and across all levels of the business.

▪ Proficient problem solver.

▪ Understand the need to follow and improve Project Management Methodologies.

▪ Effective in multi-tasking, organising and prioritising work and resource(s).

▪ Build relationships & take the lead and work as part of a strong team.

▪ Work well on own initiative.

Education

▪ Degree qualified in engineering or equivalent project management discipline (Prince II, APM/PMP) along with experience with a technical and/or manufacturing background.

Working Environment

▪ Office-based.

▪ Involving some international travel for short durations.

▪ Out-of-hours working to accommodate time zone variations.

▪ Virtual leadership and management across different time zones.

My Client is looking for long term Project Managers who will work via Manpower, & be paid via one of our Umbrella Partners - therefore you must be willing to register with us & the Umbrella agent with all of the necessary documentation. The rate is negotiable & there could potentially be permanent opportunities within the business too.
